User Interface

  • The Main, View, and Probe ribbon layouts have been reorganized for improved workflow.
  • Rotation within the Graphics window has been made more intuitive for users familiar with CAD/CAM software.
  • Updated Workplane dialog to fit with the style of other new dialogs.
  • Machine volume limits: The behavior of displaying machine volume limits changed for machines with a moving table. Now, the volume display will not move with the table.
  • New dialog options in saving touch points to query, append, overwrite, or increment this file.
  • The position point dialog now allows users to interact with the location by dragging the point vectors in the 3d graphics window.
  • New options in the grid and section dialogs to generate curves and surfaces when measuring surfaces.

 

DMIS & Program Window

  • SMART PATH may now be generated for a portion of the program.
  • Generating Do Loop DMIS commands through the dialog has been streamlined for usability with better default behavior and validation checks.
  • Double click Edit on GOTO: Now, the standard position point dialog will be opened to change the coordinates in the DMIS program. This allows entering these coordinates in PCS, MCS or along the probe vector which makes it easier to decide where to move the machine.


GD&T

  • Perpendicularity, Angularity, and Parallelism can be calculated in reference to one or two datums.

 

Reporting

  • Excel output: Measurement results comma-delimited CSV files have been edited to align the headers with corresponding data when viewed as a table. This has also been updated for tab-delimited text files.

 

Machine Interfaces

  • Added support for the M code “M30” command in CAPPSNC.
  • Added ability to search for hole center in CAPPSNC.
  • Optimum indexing for Head/Head machines handles the machine envelope and tool vector more efficiently.

 

Secure Database Storage

  • Reports can now be configured to save only printed output as shown in the report, leaving undesired fields empty.

 

Analog Scanning

  • Scanning approach paths are now more efficient.
  • The scan path depth is more accurate for lines and curves.

 

Laser & Point Clouds

  • Point cloud section analysis and feature extraction have been optimized.
  • Saving the program as a project now has an option to include the scan data.
  • New scan data file format added to support reading laser lines.
  • Added translation item for laser scan data = CRPD7.

 

NCFIT Functionality

  • Optimized internal math used for all controllers.

 

Simulation

  • The simulation has been optimized when selecting sensors as well as when using the SETCAL command. This also benefits generating G-code (post to NC) when using these commands.

 

Probe Calibration

  • A custom increment value can now be set for Lobing calibration. This is useful when updating the probe calibration for a lobing vector in a program.
  • The sensors file has been updated to include the date and time for better tracking of calibration status.
